Van Aldred, MD practices comprehensive ophthalmology with subspecialty interest in diseases of the vitreous, retina and macula. Dr. Aldred received his medical degree with honors from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. After an internship in internal medicine and neurology, Dr. Aldred completed a residency at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami, Florida. He did additional fellowship training in retina and vitreous disease in Jerusalem, Israel and Atlanta, Georgia. He is a board certified ophthalmologist.
